Introducing the 2015/2016 Peer Counselors

Laytonville Highschool Peer Counselors 2015-2016
The 2015-2016 Peer Counseling year got off to a great start. The Peer Counselors were trained in beautiful Philo, California, then paired with middle school buddies. Since then they have been helping to coordinate health education days at the high school.
If you would like more information about the Peer Counseling program, please contact Jayma Shields at 984-8089.
Youth Speaks Out
Our Peer Counselors are also active participants in “Youth Speaks Out,” a radio talk show held on the first Sunday of every month from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on KZYX/Z 91.5/90.7/88.1 fm. A recent show was hosted by youth from Laytonville and Willits High schools titled, “Peer Counseling – Listening, Helping and Developing Trust.” The show can be accessed at www.youthspeaksout.net/radioshows.html, (broadcast) http://youthspeaksout.net/YSOpeer1113.mp3 or (dial-up) http://youthspeaksout.net/YSOpeer1113_24.mp3. It is worth a listen. You might want to tell a friend about it.
If you would like a copy of the above show or of the 2-hour presentation Ralph Cantor gave to the Laytonville community, contact Dan Roberts.
