		Laytonville Auto Wreckers has been part of this community for sixty years. It started out as a branch of the Auto Parts Store and was first owned by Emerson Elliot. In the 1930's, the property was not closed off and people would park their old junk cars there and leave them. Gradually, a wrecking yard was formed. Before it came to the yard, the enormous crane was used for logging at the Harwood Mill. John McCaffery has owned the business for nine years now , working alongside his son Steve.
