The Deckhand was an original "Best of the West" product in Sunset magazine, has been shown several times on network television, and has been discussed on syndicated radio shows. It not only was on the cover of the San Fransisco Chronicle Home Section, but has been featured in most home, deck, and garden magazines.

The Deckhand was conceived, developed, and patented by Laytonvile resident Lance Linfoot, whose articles have appeared in several national magazines. His design work has been pictured in Fine Homebuilding Magazine.
