Player Code of Conduct
Player Contract

When I become a player for SAL Youth Soccer, I agree to the following:

1. I will attend practices and games on time, ready to play, and with a positive attitude.

2. I will listen to my coach and try my best.

3. I will not criticize other players, but offer encouragement instead.

4. I will remember that playing my best, learning skills, and having fun is what is important; I will exhibit good sportsmanship even if my team is losing or I donÕt like a referee call.

5. I will not talk back to my coach or referees during the game. I will not use bad language or trash talk during practices and games.

6. I will not curse or taunt other players during a game even if I see such bad behavior being exhibited by others.

7. I will show my good sportsmanship by respectfully hitting hands with the opposing team after each game. Pulling my hand away is a show of poor sportsmanship.

8. I will remember that while in uniform, I represent my town and sponsor, and will be on my best behavior. I will take care of my uniform and return it on time to my coach in good condition.

9. I will keep the fields, school grounds, and bathrooms clean, and help pick up any trash and equipment after practices and games.

10. I will remember that I have made a commitment with this player contract!

Disregard for these rules before, during, or after a game may result in a yellow card (warning) from the referee or league; continued problems will result in a red card, where you will not play the rest of your game (your team has to play short) and for the next game also.
