The goal of the Laytonville PAL soccer program is to involve kids age 4 to 14 in a fun, healthy, and great game - soccer. This is a recreational league, where emphasis is placed on skill development, learning the game, and a positive playing experience. All kids are welcome to play regardless of ability, and small-sized teams gives each child lots of playing opportunities. Players, Coaches, and parents are all responsible for helping to promote good sportsmanship in our league, and all are required to sign a code of conduct. Laytonville PAL Soccer is a collaboration between PAL (the Police Activities League), community volunteers, community businesses, and the Laytonville Unified School District. PAL sponsors various activities for children throughout the county and state, and provides our insurance and other needed support. Local business provide the bulk of the financial support of the league through the sponsorship of teams, and the school district allows us to use their playing fields for practices and games. All coaching, referees, and running of the league is done by volunteers. Leggett and Covelo also have teams which participate in our PAL league.
